I was once a big fan of the Tamron adaptal 2 lenses, if you changed camera brands there was no need to buy new lenses, just switch the mounts.

Its nice to see that SLR magic have now adopted something similar Smile

I'm assuming most of you have the firmware up to date on your OM-D; have you noticed any differences other than loss of camera noise. The reason I'm asking is I haven't done any updates on mine.

I can't think of anything I've noticed that I'm sure of (I did think it may have increased focus speed but that could well have been my mind playing tricks Wink )

I ordered a 39mm to M4/3 adaptor last night - less than £3 including postage from Hong Kong! How on earth can they manage that?! My next experiment is going to be using an old Leica 50mm rangefinder lens on the OM-D.

How they can do that is a really good question Pete. I got some extension tubes on ebay that cost me about the same.

I bought a Pentax to 4/3 adapter at Fotodiox and it cost me about £24! The manual focusing was interesting, as the focusing prism doesn't work with the digital camera, and the lenses I have are pretty heavy on the EM-5.

I was shooting butterflies flitting in the air the day I tried the lenses, and realize how hard it is to manually focus under those conditions Tongue

And happy to accept lower profit margins than 'the names' do.

Hehe I thought my £1.77 37mm filter was cheap, that included postage as well Smile

I have a Leica M39 to M4/3 adapter that I paid something like $20.00 for when I had an Oly Pen. Never ever got a lens for it. It's solid metal, with a brand name of Fotca on it.Smile

Some sellers on ebay are just trying to establish a reputation, or re-establish one that's been tarnished, so they sell stuff below their cost.

I bought an item from Dublin one time, and the cost to me was one Euro, for the shipping.

Any OM-D astro photographers about? I asked a question here: Can the OM-D be used for star photography?
