Another thing you can do, is convert it to a much brighter lens, by taking out the aperture ring. (Although it is quite fiddly, so caution is advised!)

I still don`t own this lens Sad

But I did come very close, I had planed to pick up an EPM1 body and this lens, then I stumbled across a GF2 with the 14mm for about the same price.

This one is still on my list.

Olympus are running a day at the British Wildlife Centre on the 23rd of July, with the opportunity to try out their cameras and lenses. Great value at 75.

Just in case Brian's too shy to mention it himself (!), here's a link to an interesting article he's written for EPZ on using the EM-5 for Birds in Flight.

Just received the Olympus 45mm f1.8 in the post; it's obvious as soon as you snap a shot with it, why it gets such high accolades. Took a few shots here in the studio with all the blinds closed; fast and sharp.Smile

Now I'm in the process of choosing from amongst the Panasonic 25mm 1.4, Olympus 17mm f1.8, and the 12mm f2.0. So far the 17mm seems to me that it would get a lot more use than the other 2 in my kit.

The funny thing is, I ordered a silver shade for it awhile ago, knowing that I was going to get the lens. At that time all I saw was silver lenses. Then I bought a black lens, had to order a new hood for it.Smile
