Quote: Lightroom runs murderously slow on my PC though
You may find that the latest version is a bit quicker Paul, they seem to have improved the way in which it handles memory intensive actions.
Spent and hour or so at Bournemouth Aiport flying club this afternoon (thanks Castle Cameras
) and am now much happier with the AF performance with "things in the sky" using the EM5 + 75-300.
Pretty dire conditions lightwise yet it nailed the focus in better than 80% of the shots I looked at so far.
Roll on Bounremouth Air Festival at the end of the month, I'm ready for you now!

My Pc must be 4 or 5 years old now, it would be worth using if it runs better than 3.6.
Looks like I`ve just waisted a whole load of money ![]()

doesn't Distance Selling give you a 7 day return so long as you haven't opened the packaging?
Quote: a cancellation period of 7 working days in which to withdraw from the contract
from here
(didn't realise you were using XP by the way, sorry I would have maybe remembered it wasn't compatible otherwise)

Not sure ho it applies to software, orders been cancelled now, just waiting for confirmation.
After reading articles, previews, forum threads (this one in particular) and full reviews, I've made a decision - I've ordered an OM-D EM-5!
One of the major factors (aside from the obvious quality of this product), was that I've had enough of lugging half a ton of camera hardware with me. It's fine if I'm going by car, but anything else and it's a total nuisance. I was recently on a boat trip out to St. Kilda, and found it an utter nuisance to have to haul a heavy and bulky back pack with me everywhere. And for all the size and weight, I was still struggling to squeeze a bottle of water and some sandwiches into the back pack.
Given that even professional are singing the praises of the Olympus, despite its diminutive sensor size, for a mediocre amateur like me, it should be more than adequate.
Now all I have to do is figure out the best way to sell off the rest of my camera gear...
Hi, just a quick thought has anybody in the London area been on the Emirates cable car, and taken photo's from the windows as it goes across the Thames?
Regards

I did the same thing, and got a refund within a week.
I've since "upgraded" to Windows 7, and think it's just Vista on steroids - what was wrong with XP? ![]()
Windows 7 is Viata with the **** removed, and working.
The only thing wrong with XP is that you have a copy and it works reliably, and that's not making more money for Microsoft.
