Simon D has left oodles of helpful critique on the Derek Pye website. We could do with more people like that here.
Interesting first picture posting by Derek Pye: a self-portrait taken with a Fuji 2.4-megapixel pocket cam!
High-end stuff indeed!
It has been said here many times before, CB.
It's not down to the equipment, it's all about the skill of the photographer.
One look at Mr Pye's site endorses this.
i would like to welcome the great Derek Pye to Epz ....... i can only hope he will consider posting tutorials and helpful hints .... i am now a fully fledged member of the fan club and i am very keen to learn .... this is one i respect most..
Yes that 'Mystike' effect is certainly unique. Derek describes it as follows:
"It combines all the best elements of my other styles with state of the art digital affects never before seen in wedding photography"
Can't argue with that!!!
Indeed, we can learn a lot from Derek.
I certainly feel my photography is a lot better after seeing his.

Hee hee! Excellent!
The sign of a good teacher is the ability to install confidence in the student.
I think all will agree that Derek does, by example, install confidence in our own ability by the shovel full.
Quote: Under no circumstances should you Photoshop the spastic out of the chair and onto made up legs.
I've got a feeling he really understands the essence of fine portrait work
I think you'll all enjoy my upcoming tutorials "How to photograph Gays" and "Why there is no such thing as a professional videographer"
All the best
Will you be posting here on on your TOPSITE 1
I have never laughed so much in all my life.
I'm amazed He finds the time to run a joke wedding site. Thanks for a Little light relief some people take it all to seriously. Denise x
