    Assume canon 60D body;
    400.00 tops ,to spend;
    One lens suitable for Travel, Flora, and Street/candids

    Tamron 18-270 will do some good close-ups, a decent width for landscapes and good telephoto for street shots.

    If you can go a bit higher, I would prefer the 15-85: that bit extra for travel and depending on how close you need to be for florals will be pretty good there as well.

    A jack of all and pretty good, good for travel and not to bulky for street and candids.

    Hi, i have just got myself the Tamron 18-270.... yesterday infacted, over here in Hong Kong... new... it was under HK$4000 with a free UV filter, i read some good reviews on it also some nice members on here said how good it was.
    I will testing it out over the next week or so ready for my trip to Nepal
