if you are E2 you can upload photos to the thread rather than pasting links

any chance you could do that instead?

To bridge Pete's and Ade's posts:

One factor in being original, innovative and creative, is the ability to see know things and commonly shot scenes in new ways.

true - looking through my stuff, I think I live in that space more than the "truly original" world.

interestingly, there's very little debate on the Cliche thread - people know what a cliche is and are sharing their photos.

on this one, people are either shy or unsure and debating rather than posting shots they consider to be original.

that is interesting in itself.

If you're un-sure, just post a shot - no one's going to bite your head off!

No, just don't have anything original to show.

One of mine that I was particularly pleased with but which also bombed. It's called Left,
for various reasons.

It would appear this shot

31743-1276629769-1-.jpg

wasn't terribly original - someone elsewhere commented that it put them in mind of Magritte's The Lovers. And of course the like of De Lone use bandages too.

Not that it bothers me - what I do amuses me and that's good enough.....

Are landscapes unoriginal by definition? There doesn't seem to be much of a landscape showing so far...

This might count as original, though:

Took these sometime ago, the idea just came to me, they have been described as macabre, upsetting and shocking by some people, not entirely sure why but a lot of people seem to like them too.
