Glasgow Green with the People's Palace. Along the Clydeside from the Green towards the City. Along the river you have buildings and bridges as well as the river. Moving a block or so away from the river there are some open areas with graffitied walls though they may have been cleaned up for the Games. Pollok Park and the Burrell Museum is another nice open space with buildings around about. Of course there's also Kelvingrove with the gardens and the Art Gallery. If you want something more modern, go down river from the Green towards the Armadillo, where you have the docks, the new buildings the bridges and cranes.
Hope that helps,
thankyou Alan that will be a great help. ill have to get on the ol bus and go investigate appreciated.

Not the graveyards you need to be scared of but the jakies & druggies who regularly inhabit that area.
A great photo spot but DO take some assistance with you especially if you're working with a model.
