Got the Tz-5. Really pleased with it.

Plus points were size, picture quality. colour tones, long optical zoom, ease of use, video. Only minus was that you can't over ride settings, so took a little while to work out which modes to use to get the best results.

We have one and it's a very handy camera. The wide angle end is usefully wide. The tele end us handy and it shoots good video. I'm happy with it for what it is.

there are limitations though. It has no manual control but after putting in a bit of work you can take some control over the auto settings, which you need to as the IQ from the small sensor isn't anything to write home about unless you get the exposure right in camera.

I have one and it's excellent.
It does not have full manual control as pointed out above but that's not why I bought it. I have a 5D if I want manual control.
The HD video is also very good.

This was taken with it as an example.
