Panasonic DMC-TZ40 GPS possition lost when turn off camera

Hi there,

I just bought a TZ40 and have trouble with GPS positioning. When I turn off the camera the last positioning setting is not saved, as it is supposed to be (or not???). As I understand from t he manual, the camera retains the last position and even updates it. At least the DMC-TZ10 I have, also, does not loose for a few hours it when turned off.

Hence any time I turn it on I have to take it outside the house for a while till it finds enough satellites ...

I made sure 'GPS Setting' is ON and 'Airplane Mode' is OFF.

Is this s bug/malfunction of the camera or have I missed to setup something???

thanks for any help
