    How can you avoid the patterns that appear when using a digital camera to photograph a building.The pattern apear usually on the roof tiles or sometimes on the brickwork.

    You are probably refering to square patterns caused by smaller pixels being grouped when JPEG compression is applied. To overcome this you have to use the camera on the finest quality setting. If you are alrady doing so then you may have a camera that isn't high resolution.
