hey all, could anybody give me any advice on exactly what a multi exposure does, i have it on my camera but dont know how or when to use it. Could someone please tell me how to use it and any scenarios of when it can come or has come in handy for them?

It takes two or more photos laid on top of each other and is used for creative photography and stacking images. You may use it to stack images in the dark when there's not enough light - the combined pics will make the exposure correct. Or when you want to use flash on a number of spots like painting with light. It's also good for an old technique where you take three shots through three filters - red, green and blue. These make up white so areas of white that have moved during the exposure will show the individual colour. I wrote about that technique done digitally here Tricolour
It can also be used for creative pictures. Shoot two or more shots with the person in a different placer in each shot.
