Hi everyone

Following on from this thread I think it's more sensible to make announcements about Pete so everybody doesn't have to trawl pages and pages.

So, after my visit just now, I can report he's on remarkable good form. His pain is gone in his chest and he just has a headache at the moment. If they are able to continue reducing his pain relief, he will be taken off the many monitors (hopefully tomorrow) and transferred to a general ward... fingers crossed.

He has orders not to do anything (not even lift a kettle) for 6 weeks, once they discharge him!

Thanks for all the good wishes. I passed him 16 pages, and he was touched.

I'll keep you posted.

I'll be seeing Pete later to see if they have been able to remove him from the monitors, so I'll keep you posted.

Thank you for all your private messages and emails.

As you can imagine, I'm totally snowed under at the moment trying to do my own job as well as Pete's, keeping everything running as smoothly as possible in this busy period.

So, I'm sure you understand, I can't possibly reply to you all but am passing on your best wishes to him.

Thanks
Tracey

Great news and means he should be out of hospital for the weekend!

I passed on all your best wishes, which he thanks you for.

Here's to r&r!

Pete's close friend has just come back from visiting. They did a scan of his heart and luckily, because they caught it in time, there has been minimal damage - it should (hopefully) rejuvinate over time.

They are hopefully discharging him Saturday afternoon... then the long road to recovery begins.

Now the long road to recovery begins, and if I see him on site, he'll be in trouble!!
