Photographers' Room 101

12 Jun 2008 4:17PM
Hello everybody. On reading the threads in the forums it seems that a lot of us have axes to grind from private sercuity guards to frames computers etc. So I am starting a togs' Room 101. For those who not know what Room 101 is it is a light entertaintment tv programe in which someone famous gets to moan about things that get on their nerves to a host. The host then decides if they have a case for Room 101 whether to put in and never see the ligt of day or to reject the gripe and make them return home with it. Here's I think it could be done here. Somebody puts a gripe in then the next says whether it goes into Room 101 or not then they put their own gripe in and the next person etc.

Room 101 is, of course, originally from the book 1984.
It was a torture chamber used to subject people to the their worst nightmares.

Good idea and I will start (unless someone else is typing as I write this)

Tear off tops on packages, microwave meals, packs of meat etc, that do not tear off in one go and indeed often have to be removed with a knife and in multiple pieces.

Oh I agree - that definately goes in room 101. (as well as packages that are made of that horrible thick plastic that you need scissors to get into!).

I'll put forward telephone answering services.
If you would like to hear the message again, please press 1..............................

Good one! I don't think I have EVER ripped one of those off in one go?

Here's mine... BIG BROTHER. Kind of apt with the whole 1984 thing!

Watch it!!

Coat hangers, get caught up in everything, pain in the arse.

Sealed plastic packaging like Belkin's that it is impossible to open without some kind of military hardware.

More to come have to go teach a child.

Following on from Walnutboy and answering messages (definitely goes in!): people who don't speak on your answerphone so you end up having to listen a great long silence followed by a load of irritating beeps...! Sure guys, I've nothing better to do with my time - grrrr!!

The packaging that secures childrens toys into the boxes. It takes an hour just to undo all the bits of wire that secure it down, that's after you have tried to remove the sellotape (thats durex to our Australian readers!) thats covering them. What do they think is going to happen to the product. I have seen huge bits of cargo that haven't been lashed down half as much. AAHAHAAAAAHHHHHHHHHRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHH..

.

Funny that a company I used to work for had its office in a room 101!! And yes, it was a nightmare.......

.............as to what to send to Room 101 :-

Big Brother for sure!
The Apprentice
Celeb. Come Dancing, Love Island, etc, etc
and every other reality TV, boring, tripe filled, waste of space.........
sorry, rant over!
