Glover and Howe specialise in photographic insurance.
I've used Towergate for a couple of decades.
Use the search function, this has been asked recently and got umpteen replies.
Ian, if you look under directories here on EPZ you'll find loads of them.
Thanks Guys, I wanted to get advice off people who use a company already
Hi Ian, I used PhotoShield last time, good company, this year I moved to aaduki as they offered a better deal. Two good companies.
Thanks for that jken I will have a look
I am insured with Aaduki.
No complaints with them so far (although I cannot say I have needed to make a claim so far, and that would be the proof of the pudding as far as insurance companies go....)
I'm with photoguard, they replaced my tripod that i broke when falling in a stream with no issues. Im not sure they are the cheapest though.
I'm sorry I had to laugh its the sort of thing I would do!
I work for an insurance broker and we're always looking peoples needs and finding new products to offer them. I've been thinking of putting forward phot equip insurance but I'm not sure if"enthusiast" photographers would like this as an option. Can you tell me are you insuring lots of professional equipment or are you looking for extra cover over and above your normal household insurance.
Hope you don't mind me asking and if I can get something up and running here we may be able to get a deal for epz members!!! Mind you I may be stepping on somebody else's toes if there's already a deal to be had!
Thanks for taking the time out to help, well I'm collecting, equipment all the time and only yesterday I had a minor fall, hurt my arm but the camera and kit are fine " I think its old age" I did not know I would be covered on my house insurance, but I think I would rather have my kit done on its own..
If you've got contents cover away from the home included on your house insurance and you weren't earning money from the photography you would likely be covered. I can explain more later, must get back to work now!
Aaduki on recommendation from a few on here 3-4 years ago but not had to claimed yet
