Does anyone else find that when you tell a member of the opposite sex that you're a photographer, they go all gooey and misty-eyed?
Is it the new rock 'n' roll?

    They do that anyway Smile.
Occasionally they do a bit more when photography is mentioned.

For a particular sector of female population, photography seems to be a more appealing feature in a man than hobbies like, for example, getting drunk, watching football, or playing computer games.

Thinking about it, I've often heard women complain about their other halves pastimes, but never heard one say her man is a photographer without having a happy tone in the voice. Whatever arguments there might be behind closed doors regarding equipment costs, I think photography must be on the approved list.

A beautiful, smooth, curvy camera body is the only other body I'm allowed to spend some quality time with and get my hands on Smile

Then I remembered this list of Sexy jobs

Photographers come in at number 8.
"Artsy types get a boost in the sexy department for having a strong sense of style and a unique perspective on the world. Even among artists, photographers stand out because they stay behind the camera, finding beauty in unconventional and overlooked places. Their willingness to stay out of the spotlight and focus their attention on someone else is endearing."

    Isn't that nice ?

I wonder if we'll get a female perspective on this ?

No, they are on the other side of the camera having all the attention focused on them by an endearing, genteel, arty tog .............. (runs for cover)

From the female perspective - ha! you've gotta be kidding!

The only pro photographers I know and worked with from the other side of the lens are not misty-eyed material by any stretch of the imagination.
