I have a basic grasp of Photoshop 7 but want to really get to use it to it's full potential.
I therefore want to invest in a decent tutorial book and am considering the following; 'Photoshop 7 for Dummies', or 'The Photoshop 7 Bible' or Abobe's own 'Photoshop 7, a Classroom in a Book'.
Has anyone here any experience of these books and can tell me which is the best buy or have any other recommendations?
A pair of excellent titles I just got are
Real World Color Management by Bruce Fraser et al, though given Exup's other thread I'd advise avoiding this one for him lest it sow more confusion! ![]()
Photoshop Color Correction by Michael Kieran
Martin Evening's book is excellent too, but does seem to be aimed at professional's as much as anything.

Photoshop 7 for Photographer

Worth every penny.
I currently use elements 2 and have been following some of the easier tutorials in the monthly photoshop magazines, it gives me an idea of what tools do and how to use them.
I am on the verge of upgrading to photoshop CS2 but am still trying to decide wether there is enough extra's to make the jump worth while, i am told the CS2 learning curve is quite steep but like the idea of having full RGB 'curves' control (i'm not talking about my belly curve either, thats beyond help) and the channel splitter,
alternatively i could just keep switching the image between elements and psp for the different functions? what do others think?
I`ve got Photoshop 7 The Complete Reference, its yours if you want it. I was going to pass it on to Oxfam.
