I dont have canon i have nikon but i guess it may be different for that reason but it may be the same!
on the bridge main screen i click the my computer icon and then/ nikon or in you case canon device/ dcim/ next file and then the raw files open.

LADIES and jellybeans reptiles and crocodiles..... It seems CS4 bridge (with or without updates) jsut foesnt like the SDHC card in the camera. if i transfer all images direct to pc bridge sees teh thumbnails ok. when i again look back via camera in bridge they only show as icons and not selectable (not even drag and drop ) rather random, lets hope its a small issue canon/adobe can sort for future.

"I would leech it i think as prices are stupid for some packages. like PScs4 or office 2k8 etc etc" wasnt an admission of piracy at all. just stateing i WOULD,if i couldnt afford, but i can.
anyhows....
as it turns out (and ill accept that apology) IT IS canon, as i just received my memcard reader this morning. same files show as thumbs now. put in 450D and shows just icons in adobe bridge
