    Dianna if you havent formatted the card you may be able to recover the images with one of the specialist software applications

    Oh REALLY!!! any ideas which ones might do the job, I have used the card twice now and deleted all images twice since my run in last week and filled the card again 2 days ago

    Image Rescue is one that I have used in the past, but im sure there are a few different ones about, hopefully someone will dive in with some more suggestions.

    Scanned it first before I downloaded so hopefully it's kosher.

    that one will scan and recover but won't let you save until you purchase the unlock key!!

    have you scanned an image on a card that you have deleted and have you used the card since?

    how much is the unlock key?

    Convar PC Inspector Smart Recovery and File Recovery are both free and work well.

    I didn't get that far, I'm still digging around trying to find one I spotted about 6 months ago that could do the 'layers', ie beneath the later pictures. I'm sure I saw one.
    This one I've just tried is http://www.cardrecovery.com/ if you have a read first, not worth buying yet though if there is better out there!
