    am after a portable backdrop for home photography work which is best,was thinking the backlite box or just a drape and stand...any ideas or advice

    I find a drape with two stands works well. I use 2 x 6m black crushed velvet. The last uploads on my PF used this method.

    What will be best for you, Depends on what your gonna be shooting mostly.

    If by backlight box, You mean one of these for sure that will work.

    But its not as flexible as the more conventional background support systems ( 2 stands and a cross bar type ), Either sort will do the job though.

    I use a lastolite hi-lite which is self-supporting and attach fabric to it using clothes pegs if I want a different effect.

    Have decided to go fot the lastolite Hilite 6x7 where is the cheapest place to buy it!!
