    Got myself a new printer canon pixma,trouble is if i print out a colour A4 i get faded lines in the photo not all the time and only sometimes in
    B=W,any idea of the problem,

    iv had pixma 5250 a couple of years now no problems.apart from once i won some cheap paper in a raffle that had a problem in it.

    You have a head-alignment problem. Try aligning the head automatically and manually. If that doesn't sort it then you may have to return the printer.

    faded lines sounds like you need to do a head cleaning to me.
