Hi
I am having an exhibition soon and wanted to do something a bit different from my normal - print, mount and wooden frame. I quite fancy the idea of printing on aluminium - I know there are lots of companies out there who do it - but I just wondered if anybody had actually gone down this route with their images especially for an exhibition. Were they pleased with the result and what was the reaction of other people.
Thank you
Kate
Not tried myself but some 18 months back I saw an exhibition in the Dordogne at Gallerie 5 in Riberac of quite large metal based prints and was very impressed by the impact of the prints themselves, let alone the photographic content....stuart
Digital Plus in Leeds - I use them for my large format work
Here's a 5 foot wide leeds cityscape printed on Acrylic and mounted on wall pegs - the MD of the parent company loved these!

They print on anything - you can take a wardrobe in and get anything you like printed on them.... lots of Leeds United wardrobes coming out of there..
Anyway - if you do enquire, mention my name and ask for Ian Thomas, Ian's a top guy, really helpful .
oh - they've just been doing print for Morrison's super markets - they've got big clients ![]()
For metallic prints have a look HERE-
or here for prices-
Max size is 12 x 8, but prices seem reasonable.
I have used them in the past for slide processing and found them reliable, don't know about prints though.

Digital Plus can do 12 by 8 FEET I think ![]()
somewhere in that region anyway - the printer looks bigger than a snooker table anyway!
