Been trying to follow this tutorial. OK I realise that it's quite old & I'm using Elements 5, but I can get so far. When I get to the bit where you want the b/g to reflect in the car, you've got the car sandwiched between 2 b/g layers. He then says switch off the bottom layer, but if you do this, you can't see the car as it's below the top layer. He then says hold down Alt & run the cursor over the line between the car & b/g & 2 little circles will appear. Left click & the b/g wraps round the car. Well, nothing happens when I do it. Any ideas?

It works for me but I'm using CS3. You definitely sandwiched the car and turned off the bottom layer?? If the bottom layers isnt turned off it doesnt appear to do anything, but once you turn it off its ok

But if you turn the bottom layer off, you can't see the car cos it's under the top layer.

Yes thats right, but once you clip it (holding down Alt until the little circles appear) the car then comes back again

Just another thought, are you clipping the car and background layer, or car and background copy? It needs to be car and background copy (top layer)

Clipping is when you hold down ALT and point the mouse at the dividing line between the two layers until the two little circles appear, then left click and the two layers are clipped together

OK Lou, I sussed it. Thick old git that I am I didn't realise that when you held down Alt & clicked on the line between the layers, you did it in the layers palette. There was me trying to do it on the actual image!! The answer was staring me in the face all the time. Anyway, thanks for your help. I think you're a hero & I don't care what the others say! Wink
