I hit the charity shops today looking for props and ended up buying a really cool retro Denby Chevron tea service - only four settings but it only cost me 8... now how do I light them... Smile

Oh my gosh Ceri - yes, charity shops and junk shops - an absolute joy for a good old rummage. I've discovered some wonderful things lurking in forgotten corners and scrunched up on a rail.

    (8 quid???? wonderful ..! what a haul ..)

PS - The only prob with the charity shops round here is they all seem to have copies of McKeowns... I did get an Exakta SLR for 20 once tho..

a lava lamp is no good - if you try and bounce the light they break and you get icky stuff all over the place

Bother! Youve all caught on to my idea of looking in the charity shops for props!

I have also found some good photography reference books there also

Stop it! This is better than comedy night on channel four! My wife thinks I'm mad as I sit in the corner giggling away. Suzi - do you write comedy? If you do, Ceri, would you mind if she used you as the main character and the rest of us extras.

Got to go to bed before my sides split!
