I bought myself a PS3 about 4 weeks ago with the aim of buying some good single player games, though I always wanted to have the facility to expand these by playing multiplayer online [MPO] games, as I feel that playing with/against 'real' people makes the game better than with a computerised version.

I currently play COD4 online and Grid too.

Having spoken with a couple of others on here, I see they too play these games and others online and have in fact caught up with them on the Playstation Network. So come on then, tell me what you're into and maybe even recommend games that are great in both single player and MPO.

Maybe we can get some EPZ clans going - if they're not already Wink

My brother plays COD4 on both the PS3 and Xbox 360 [flash git], it was his 360 version that made up my mind to finally get in and a PS3. Surely you mean GTA4 though Anil - what's it like online?

They're good Cole, nice & crisp ... but expensive compared to DVD though IMO.

Cheers John, 'our kid' had PGR4, not sure if he still has or not.

OK, maybe GTA4, whatever the most recent one is...got it for my bday Smile Havent played it online yet (Xbox live at home is offline for some reason...maybe i should stop free trialing) but the game is excellent! a really good sequel to the GTA series.

    Anil.

And Pro Evo soccer is also great online...gets very competitive...especially as you can play as England and pretend that they are in the Euros!

Not played Pro Evo for ages, might give it a look at, but I was never much god anyway, so would get battered online for sure ... GTA IV is definitely one game I'll be looking at, so expansive in single player too!!!

Had my PS3 for a year now, but not done much online gaming as I have no friends Sad and the people who are not my friends kick my arse all to frequently.

My most played PS3 games online are Texas Holdem and GT5 Prologue.

Currently I am playing GTA IV offline, but to be honest being a bit under whelmed by it despite liking Vice city and San Andreas and clocking up 100 hours + on both. On-line is supposed to be excellent though.

I was thinking of buying Grid and keen to play some COD4 on-line just not with 12 year old assassins Wink

Grid single player is good and looks fantastic, maybe a little repetetive overall but you can pick it up and put it back down easily, which is great for me when I want a quick driving fix. Online can be a little hit or miss as to the type of game you get into and there are plenty of 'idiots' who just want to wreck you game ... but afterwards, you get the chance to kick them from the server Smile

COD4 is a little manic online at times and can be quite daunting when you first get invvolved, but overall it's one of the best online games I've played. We play COD1 still on the systems at work at lunchtime ... so you can see the longevity of it.

GT prologue I just found to be a little ordinary online ... hence the purchase of Grid, but later this year Prologue V2 is coming out with damage to cars, so hopefully this'll stop the nutters from crashing into you ... well, a little more anyway Wink

Overall, COD4 is a blast online and Grid seems to be pretty good, but I've only been online a couple of days!!!
