Well they describe it as a clearance sale. Some other retailers seem to be offering CS4 Extended at a similar price - see here.

Something up with my browser then. I clicked your link twice and it took me here - I restarted the browser and now it links to amazon marketplace - very odd

Had an e-mail from Adobe Systems today saying that because I have a registered copy of Photoshop Elements I can upgrade to Photoshop CS4 with 50% off. I think they said £278.88 including vat. Still too expensive for me though.

But aren't amazon marketplace sellers covered by the same guarantees as amazon products? i.e if it turned out to be pirated, you could just get a refund? Or am I being naive?

What version of Elements was that from ? I have 5 ( or 6 maybe ) and have not received such an offer...mind you, I wish I had never bought it because I don't like it at all.....

I would wait for the first bug fix for PS CS4 to come out before buying it. I wish I had...

Quote: The 50% price offer for Adobe Photoshop CS4 software is off the full product price, excluding VAT and is available only to licensed users of Photoshop Elements Windows 4.0, 5.0, 6.0, 7.0 or Mac 3.0, 4.0, 6.0 and Adobe Photoshop Elements plus Premiere Elements bundle who purchase the full version of Photoshop CS4 directly from Adobe.

You need to order before 28th February direct from Adobe UK either online or phone. You need the offer code in the e-mail and serial code of your copy of Photoshop Elements. You can ring Adobe Systems on 0800 0280 148. Seems like a good offer.

You can always yank a student off the Street and get him to buy the students copy for you, I did
