RIP A sad loss
Sad loss indeed, RIP Jon
Very sad loss RIP Jon.
Very sad news, we loose yet another member of the Henley Mafia.
I once sold a house to Jon in Barnes, London. Must have been circa 1970. A true Gentleman.
I'll add my condolences to the list. Deep Purple were a little before my time but I still love their music, and they influenced many of my favourites too...
A great man and a great shame but he'd not been well for some time so I guess three score years and eleven wasn't as bad as it could have been.
I saw Deep Purple in 1972 in Plymouth on the Fireball tour, an unforgettable night ( I was 16 I think !) !! So RIP Jon, you will be sadly missed !!!!
( off to play Machine Head very LOUDLY !!!!!! )
Indeed a sad loss I listen to him constantly along with the Hoochie Coochie men live at the basement club in Sydney
Totally and absolutely gutted.
A massive musical hole in my life...
My rock youth.
Weren't really my cup of tea in their heyday, appreciate them more now, I saw a good BBC-4 documentary about them and Jon Lord came over really well, I really liked him. What a sad loss
A sign you're getting old(er) when all your teen heroes start dying...
I'll put a album on and raise a glass of something nice in his honour
