I love pixmatic raw shooter essentials and it works well with my 350d. I now got a 400d and raw shooter does not find any raws to convert when i point it at the 400d raws.
Does anyone else have this problem and do i use another raw converter - if so which one?
    Cheers

Rawshooter is no longer supported so it won't work for newer cameras. Canon's own DPP (Digital Photo Professional) which should be on your software disks with the camera is actually quite good now. Otherwise you're down to paying for something else.

    Cheers for that.

Adobe lightroom is very good, and great for batch conversions, sadly it's not cheap though. Wayne

DPP 3.4.1 is now available from canon USA - got some nice improvements including much improved noise reduction - just installed it and its working fine with my 40D, so should be good with your 400D

    Great must download that.

Martin Capture One is similar to RAW Shooter interface wise.

I like DPP, less options, quicker decisions, good lens correction

I found an interesting website through searching in Google whereby you can go into a file in the RawShooter program and change any reference of "350D" to "400D" and the program will function with that camera instead (but probably ignore any pictures taken with the 350D!)

Just found the link, though it may not link... Having a quick read, it seems you are required to convert your CR2 files into Adobe DNG using a free Adobe DNG Convertor, then make the change outlined to the RawShooter.exe program, then it will be able to open the DNG files. Seems there isn't a way to open the native CR2 files though... Sorry.

This website below also highlights an important thing about using Hex editors for editing the RawShooter program. Back up everything if you're going to give it a try though!
