I have been shooting in raw lately. I have lots of files I can not open. I have not any money so cannot spend a fortune for an opener. I have tried google to see if I can get a free download for a few days. I am really frustrated please could someone help.

I see you are using a Nikon D70s.

This should have come with a program called Picture Project.......YES........

Picture Project has a basic RAW conversion facility, It allows some alterations to exposure & tone as well.

Why not give that a Try. Smile

Unfortunately my dad died and I inherited the camera from him and I do not know what he did with the software to the camera. He did not have the camera long but we could not find it.
    Thanks for your help.
    Jacqui.

ufraw is free and supports the Nikon D70s (scroll down the page for the Windows download/install instructions).

    Sorry to hear that, Jacqui.

Perhaps some kind soul could send you a copy of Picture project if they have replaced it with something like CS2 or Elements ? ? ?

I have a very early version came with a D70 and I know for sure it will not have the RAW file for the D70s.

I do have a later version BUT it came with another camera via Hong Kong, And is in Japanese ( Laugh Smile I was not amused at the time, But can see the funny side now )

    Good luck either way.

Just a short warning about Picture Project: When installing it overides the RAW functionality of Adobe Camera RAW. Not a majot problem, as the plug-in can be removed. Just something to be aware of.
