Rejlander's "Two Ways of Life" is the inspiration for this competition
One for the Digital art enthusiasts for sure. Rejlander's print is amazing, I was very impressed when I saw it in the National Media Museum Bradford.

And still every few weeks yet another thread emerges on 'proper photography' or 'is XXX cheating'.
Yep, also this work by Reijlander is one that I point people to when they complain about how digitla manipulation has ruined photography 
Quote: It is said that he used to estimate his exposure by bringing his cat into the studio; if the cat's eyes were like slits he would give use a fairly short exposure. If they were a little more open than usual he would give extra exposure, whilst if the pupils were totally dilated he would admit defeat, put the lens cap on the lens and go out for a walk
rofl, a cat as a light meter, brilliant.......
