Reome shutter release focus

28 Mar 2014 9:35AM
I have a Nikon D3200.
How do you focus using a remote shutter release because normally when taking pictures using the release button on the camera you squeeze it halfway until it bleeps and you get focus but how does this work when using a remote shutter release.
I would be grateful for any advice please.

Thanks
Danny

Modern electronic remote releases also have a halfway squeeze. Mind you, some cheap ones rather lack feel, so it's easy to give a full press when you didn't mean to. Once you get used to them they're ok though.

I have a cable remote release and radio releases of 2 different manufacturers (Yongnuo and PixelKing) and all of them have a 'half press' function which works in exactly the same way as the shutter button itself.

I have a set of four Pixel King for Canon triggers which could have a new home for the price of postage...probably about a fiver. They've barely been used and are the revamped No 2 model with TTL etc.

First come first served. Might not be about when someone claims them but I'll look in later.
