Seems there have been other reports of meteorites or similar within the past day from Australia, Kazakstan and Cuba.

Quote: To get through the atmosphere it must have been at least 30 feet in diameter

The say it weighed an estimated 7000 tons, was a good job it was made of rock and not iron, that would have been bad and more like the Tunguska event in the early part of the 20th century.

Watched a video on youtube https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UZgQwf2-MU4 Such a great photo opportunity... But a lot of folk were injured by broken glass, etc - more than 1000 people altogether. Won't say I miss it too much.

Quote: Is anyone bothering to watch out for the Asteroid tonight?

With the fog we had last night it would needed to have passed between my house and next door if I wanted to see it.
Ah well, there's always next time!
