There are many people on EPZ who have visited Grosmont on the North York Moors Railway.

I'm sure they will all be shocked at the news from yesterday that one of the workers there has lost his life.BBC NEWS

That's a shocker. I haven't been on that particular railway but I went on a private steam-hauled trip from London to York and back in December 2010. On the trip back the elderly fireman died!

Know the area very well. It's a tragic and unfortunate accident that likely should never have happened.

A Very sad day when anyone in a close Knit enviroment like the NYMR dies, and worse due to the nature of this death, an experienced man of some considerable years experience.

Very sad indeed, news reports name him as Bob Lund, my thoughts go out to his family and all his friends and colleagues.

Only visited this excellent heritage railway just last week for the first time, both of us deeply saddened at the tragic news, our thoughts are with his family and friends.
