I have a we 8gb micro sd cards knocking about and was going to buy an adapter so they could be used as standard sd cards. Does this have any effect in a camera I.e. delaying storage of the image ? Or would the performance be the same for either

A question I was previously thinking about too. I look forward to an answer as well.

I once placed a micro SD card into the adapter that you're referring to, then placed that into an adapter to turn it into a CF card.
It worked for me without any problems but I'd imagine that it was only writing etc. at its own pace, if that concerns you.
In real life, the speed at which any memory card writes is pretty academic to most of us anyway.

Thanks for the help again Jester

We use a mini SD card in an SD card adapter in a TZ8. Been fine mostly, only issue I've ever had is camera on a couple of occasions not seeing the card which is probably down to the connection between the card and adapter as taking it out and putting it back in usually does the trick.

    1. Check the card is not write protected. Otherwise ...
    2. Try another SD card. Your original is probably broken.
