Seems like the stop and search powers under Section 44 are not as straightforward as the authorities may have thought. Story here.

I would prefer to err on the side of public safety.

As to the European Court - we are not in charge of our own country anymore.

Minority 'rights' seem to count far more than majority rights.

Well it's been like that for half a century or so...so you think we would be used to it by now.

We all want to feel safe in our beds - but Section 44 HAS been misused all over the country ...... as many photographers will confirm.

Sec 44 is meant to be used in fairly specific circumstances - not as a blanket excuse where there is no real redress.

Sorry are you telling me that you police in Britain can stop and search you under some terrorism act without any good reason to suspect you have committed a crime ?
Surely Not, that would never wash here, there would be riots .
can not be right ! under what power, surely you have the same freedom as us to go about your life.

stop and search I can handle, the bigger issue for me was the arms fair, About time we stopped selling guns and weapons to anyone.

the big arms manufacturing country's like ourselves stopped selling em then terrorists would be easy to spot carrying sticks and stones.
