Well according to the auction page compatibility list your camera is listed....!

Based on that it's safe to assume it will work....How well it works is another matter entirely.
Once you have the adapter, You just crew this on the end, Job Done...Smile

I'm not entirely familiar with the 5600, But have played with an S7000, They are bothe very similar when it comes to add on lens/dioptre items....!

Basically you need an adapter, This is just a tube with a thread at each end, One thread in internal, The other is External.

The external end screws into the body of the camera around the lens.....Then you screw the Add-On lens to the end of that...!

Your main lens works as normal, But now has the add-on lens in front of it.....!

As I said the so called adapter is just a tube, You should be able to get one on Ebay, As far as I remember the same adapter tube, Takes the Wide add-on lens, And a Telepho version as well....!

If you don't have the adapter, You can't use the add-on lens....!

Well not unless your prepared to hold it in place by hand, That is.....!

Edit; Having said that, It could be interesting to try...Smile You could get similar results to that of something called a " Lens Baby " Or as I call them Adjustable distortion lens.....Thats a joke/jibe by the way....Smile

I got one for my FZ30 for £20 inc postage from Hong Kong. If you're buying it specifically for your camera, you shouldn't need an adaptor ring. Beware - you will get serious barrell distortion. This is correctable in PS but you should be aware. I took this shot with it.

Would these items be worth buying though or can you suggest a better option?

Quote: can you suggest a better option

Well the bottom line is this, Whilst these lens & adapters are available for a " Fixed " lens camera, The quality of images produced is not earth shattering.....Sad

I guess you have to ask yourself what is important to you...?

If you just want to be able to take a Wider view, Than your standard lens can produce, And you are prepared to accept the image will not be fantastic quality, But passable on a small print perhaps......Then this type of add-on offers a solution....!

However, If you want high image quality, And be able to print something bigger than a 4 x 5 inch, These add-ons rarely do the job......!

At the end of the day, They are a compromise, And you will get an image.......If you can live with it......Thats fine & dandy.

As for other options, Well I'd consider saving your money, And getting your self a DSLR, Either new or 2nd hand, Then you can fit any lens you like.......Smile

I'm not going to make any major suggestions on a DSLR, As to be honest there all pretty good these days, But on a value for money front it may be worth looking at Pentax/Samsung/Olympus, There are some really great deals around at the minute....Smile

    Ah okies.
Now I'm hard to please and i like everything to perfection which is why im saving for a good apple mac
Currently im using Dell. My computer got broken awhile back and i havent been able to use photoshop in that result so I'm just using standard programs atm which is truely unrewarding and i strongly dislike it!!
What lenses do any of you reckon would be best for band shoots? As i have alot of that coming up and i really want to buy one today

Skip the money on the Mac and buy a dSLR instead would be my advice.

    Ah okies
Well the situation at the moment is i cant afford neither of the above
and need to get a lens that'll do up until then.
As much as i love my camera, I'm open to trying out different models!
