Shooting a wedding yesterday with D300s and variety of lenses. At the end of the evening my 10-20 suddenly stopped being sharp, i mean really unsharp but had been fine all day and have tested it this morning and all seems fine. Was shooting at iso 1600 but even then it should have been ok.
Any ideas as to why?
High iso noise reduction has just sprung to mind but even then i feel they are really bad beyond any softening from that.
As it was ok before, and after, I would suspect either an intermitant fault in the AF electronics of the lens, or something as simple as inadvertantly putting it on manual focus by mistake.
Tho in low light the 10-20 isn't great anyway and hunts like mad , after all probably it's main use is as a lens for landdscapes where in such conditions it's not really a problem (just set to manual and set hyperfocal distance).
