sigma 150-500 autofocus stopped working

23 Jan 2013 6:18PM
Can anyone tell me how much it will cost to have the motor replaced . have checked the number and it isn't one of the lenses that has been recalled. use it on a d800. other lenses work fine. it is out of guarantee and I suspect it's a grey import even though I bought it from a dealer in England.
Thanks in advance.

I agree with the contact sigma route I have used them in the past and they were very helpful and repairs were reasonable.

Yes, contact sigma indeed....get it fixed,
then sell it and put some glass that is more refined in front of your cameraTongueWink

Thanks all. @lawbert. Lens came before camera. And after buying camera can't afford another lens. But thanks for the thought and advice. Wink
