Sigma 150mm will work very well with sigma brand teleconverters. Its focal length will depend on the teleconverter used:
1.4TC - a great teleconverter and one that I use all the time with my 150mm macro. It gives a good boost to magnification whilst keeping a good depth of field. You lost one stop of light (now an f4 lens instead of f2.8) and you lose a tiny bit of image qualtiy, but its not really that noticable out in the field
2*TC - doubles the focal length of the lens and gives a big boost to magnification. However it does rob 2 stop of light from the lens (f5.6 now) and also degrades image quality by a noticable amount. It also makes the viewfinder image darker and also makes the plane of focus smaller, so its trickier to focus and your depth of field will reduce (at max magnification).
All in all I regard the 1.4 as a very good teleconverter and use it all the time - a little bit more magnifcation and a little bit more working distance. The 2*Tc is fun to use, but I don't use it half as much as I use the 1.4.
If you want example shots pretty much anything macro in my profile (Barring the last 2 shots) are taken with this setup - I list the lenses used in shots so you can check
Thanks overread for the detailed info,
what focal length does do both converters give you
with the 150mm macro you get 1.4 times for the 1.4TC (that is 210mm focal length) and 2 times for the 2*TC (that is 300mm).
