Sigma DG to Minolta 7D

Has anyone had any problems with the 24-70 DG lens from Sigma with the Minolta 7D.

I have just bought one and it will not conect with my 7D to give any apeture or AF.
It is the EX range and it dose work on my 600si.

I have other Digital lens that work fine.

Any advice would help.
