Has anyone bought or tried the sd14 yet. I have been looking at this camera for the last 6 months trying to get every bit of info. I have asked Jessops to order one so I xcan check it out which they have done. Just want to get everyone else's opinions.

I've got to admit I'm kind of curious about the Sigma DP-1. A [sort of] compact camera with an SLR sized sensor in it and a 28mm lens.

A 'carry everywhere' compact for landscape 'togs if ever there was one.

    Hope the reviews are favourable..........

It's the compact that interests me too - the big one they can keep - but the little one could make a very good panorama camera

Yes, the DP-1 is very interesting. It is the combination of a decent sized Foveron sensor, without having to lock yourself into the Sigma Lens Mount (sorry Ian), and the fact that it would be complementry to the SLR, rather than replacing it. If Sigma price it right, it could be a hugly popular camera.

I'd be more interested in whether or not it's a good camera... ;0)

I'm after a DP-1 too. Just hope they've 'cured' the noise problems...

    Thanks all,
I hadnt seen the DP-1, I wasn't looking to buy the sigma for outdoor work. I was hoping to use it as my main camera for macro work. With a specialist lens I was hoping this would produce some stunning results.

I'm also curious about the DP1. If it is a good camera, and the lense / sensor work well together, and they get the price right, then I think they could have a winner.

Looks like it could be a competitor for the Ricoh GR1D. I saw a suggested US price of a around $1,000 for the DP1. I think in the UK it would have to sell for below £400 to have a chance.

I'll be interested in seeing the results it produces, and then the price!
