I have a Canon EOS Elan and a 430EZ flash. I would like use 2 flashes with a RF slave, 1 on camera and another for fill light.

First, if I use a slave and 2 430 flashe units, will I still be able to use TTL on the flash?

Second, would I be better off getting another 430 flash unit. or Would I be better off getting 2 new 550 flash units.

    Any comments would be appreciated!

    Thank You

    See Ya
    Steve

    Hello

As far as I know, you would need to use manual flash with the 430EZ flashguns. I have 2 x 550EX flashguns, and the wireless flash is great. It's easy to set up once you're familiar with the menus and you keep ETTL flash, though I've only tried it indoors to date.

You don't necessarily need two 550EX, you can use a 550EX and a 420EX (the new model that was launched alongside the EOS 30 in 2000). The 420EX can be a slave to a 550EX. That will save you about 80 here in the UK, I don't know how these prices compare elsewhere.

    I hope this helps.

    Jo
