Slide Numbering or Lack Of

When taking pictures i bracket exposures and try different filters. How can i tell which slide is which, when they all come back in plain white unnumbered mounts?.I do keep a record of numbers and details in a notebook.

If the slide mount doesn't have a number on ( some do) the only way would be to open up the mount and check the film rebate. It may be better to have the films process-only service in future and then mount the best ones yourself later. This would mean you can cut out and throw away the failures from your strips and you'd have the oportunity of choosing the type of mount you use

I had the same problem. I was too lazy to mount my own slides so I get mine processed by Metro who put numbers on the mounts. I am sure there are other companies that number the mounts, I have just not come across any.
