Will any of you more northern peeps be looking out for Solar Storm effects tonight?

"The event is the largest for several years, but it is not in the most severe class"
I polished the old 10-22 in the hope of getting some spectacular shots tonight as the Lights will be visible here.
Then last night someone dumped 15cm snow on us and today there is 10/10ths cloud under which there is 9/10ths fog, so bu99er all Areola Borealis for us![]()

I'm curious if it will be visible here in Yorkshire or not.
Blimey !! Will my FILM be OK in my 'fridge ?? It's already all outdated !![]()
Just loaded some Velvia 50 dated July 07. Assuming the clouds disappear, may see the lights and manage to get something!!!
Can't see anything near Heathrow, beautiful moon and thin broken cloud though.
I managed a couple decent shots a few nights ago, though, sadly, I'm on the opposite end of the planet in Alaska. Will upload when I can ![]()
