Fab or what?! This new series is really so interesting and I love Michaela Strachan as the new presenter. Kate Humble was lovely but she was a bit of celeb, whereas Michaela is just lovely and blends in as one of the team.

Tonight we saw some gorgeous macro photography of flies and stuff, some polecats, some excellent kingfisher shots together with lots of interesting nature facts and pictures.

Looks like it's going to be a great series. These 3 weeks always go too quicky for me.
    Smile

I missed Monday's - pressed the record button.......................then turned the tv off at the wall as usual!! Tongue (Doh)!

But I saw last nights and really enjoyed it - we visited Ynys Hir last year, a wonderful reserve. I felt quite sorry for them all, when they were being eaten alive by midges (poor Michaela looked quite distressed!).

I guessed a stinging nettle at first sight! Smile

You know, I have never seen a kingfisher, but my wife and daughter saw one by the canal at the weekend, so we are heading down there tonight to see if we can get a photo. Springwatch is really inspiring for kids.

You need patience! If the kingfishers round our neck of the wods are anything to go by, you may be more successful in the morning.

Good luck - I get a real zip whenever I manage to catch sight of these little beauties.

Up here in the NorthWest the last two winters with their short but savage spells seem to have really affected the populations so I don't hold much hope of seeing any this year Sad

Another superb show tonight. I do like the team now. The frantic bloke's calmed down and got contact lenses, Chris is fun as usual and Michaela has fitted in so well. A great Team. And what about the kingfisher chicks!! Just about the cutest things on TV at the moment. Amazing how they eat immediately they hatch. Gorgeous.
