I have recently been approached by a new company based in Colorado called Photogenisis who want some of my images for their Stock Photography Library..what would anyones advice be on this sort of thing, apparantly it is going to be more of an artistic library..I am unsure of what to do..does one give up copyright etc..any advice would be most appreciated..thanks

You would not normally be expected to give up copyright. You should ask them what their contract with you as a photographer will be. Amoung the things you need to know are:

* What percentage of any sale will go to you.
* How are the images to be licenced (royalty free or rights managed).
* Will they require the images on an exclusive basis or can you personally provide them for use elsewhere eg another stock library.
* Can you get the images deleted from their stock library if you decided you wish to do so in the future.
* Read their contract.

Hope this helps.

This would be them perhaps ?

It says

Quote:We'll be glad to send you a copy of our complete Information for Artists, which includes further details on our artist-relations principles, our submission procedures, and our marketing plans.

They seem well intentioned, although they haven't actually started yet.
