I'm looking to expand my strobe work a little bit over the next few months.

I would appreciate any advice on modifiers, what to get, and where from. Are any of the eBay cheepies any good and which ones?

To date my strobe gear is:

    Nikon SB-900
    Nikon SB-25
Yongnuu 460II (pretty impressed by the price BTW)
Yongnuo RF602 triggers / receivers - again pretty impressed
Calumet Umbrella (with reversible silver / black lining - can be used as a shoot through)
    Coloured gels

As it wont be my main type of work I don't want to spend a lot, but I don't really want to do much in the way of making my own modifiers.

Hi Nick, I've got the Elemental flash gun softbox , with stand which is a good package - although the price seems to have crept up since I bought mine (Ebay ones may well be cheaper). This works well with the SB800.

Take a look at parabolic reflectors/umbrellas offered by cotswold photographic, available via ebay too. £20 (105cm) to £50 (215cm) light weight / use anywhere. Give good controlled directional light with great catch light eye effect. May be used with strobes or studio heads. When you consider a 'true' large parabolic reflector costs about £3000. Absolute bargain.

Nick, no it doesn't have any internal baffles but it does seem to do the trick for giving a soft light at reasonable range.
