Is it possible to trigger my 580exII whilst using studio flash heads?
I have two studio flashes, one is hooked up to a radio trigger and the other is in slave mode.
I want to be able to use my 580exII as a background/hairlight flash but not sure how to get it in the mix without major expensive triggers.

i know if you attach a slave cell to my 580 mk1s they crash after 1 cycle. what about an infra red hot shoe radio transmitter thingy?
I found using two different wireless transmitters played up, so I have tried setting my flash off with a wireless transmitter, and keep both studio flashes in slave mode.
yeah tried this... Attached reciever to speedlite and set both studio flashes to slave... but for some reason it fires the studio flashes at a real low output regardless of what I have dialed in..
Oh dear, I haven't tried it often or very recently, but I'm sure I never found that problem.
