Hello all, i hope this question hasent been repeated a few times on here, but i am just building a small studio in my garage (around 6m x 5.5m) and was just wondering if anyone could point me to any lenses that would be good for studio work, at the moment i use a fixed 50mm f1.8 lens which is fine for now, but i want an upgrade.
I have a canon 400d and wanted a lense that would be good for both close portraits and full shots.

    i hope you can help.
    Thanks
    Rob

I use a Sigma 18-50 F2.8 along side my 50mm f1.8, it's great when I need to get further back but the wall is in the way.

I've been using a Sigma 24-70 in the studio for a couple of years now and it's great for general kids running about type shots, coupled with a prime for head shots and that's all the kit I used. Now added a 50-150 to the kit as 70mm was a bit short for what I needed at times, but I think my shooting area is longer than yours.

i'll keep an eye on the lens on ebay, thanks again for everyones replies.

I use 400D in a fairly small studio and have the sigma 24-70 ex 2.8 which never comes off my camera, have the 50mm 1.8 too but rarely use that now
