We've been discussing a couple of the pictures that appeared in the Times ... Personally I'm not so impressed at the moment although I mean no disrespect to any photographers, just the criteria for judging and the due diligence. (by the way, I personally am commenting mostly about the 'Landsape' aspect.. not really about the 'people in the landscape' or 'urban landscape' etc).

A very interesting deconstruction of the allegedly faked hermit crab picture Grin I say allegedly purely for legal reasons.

Congratulations Kris, very brave of you to enter a mono of a scene usually depicted in colour, quality all the way.

    JP

    Well done Kris too.

This was my commended image in the 'Classic View' section.

Are you guys going to be London to for the evening on the 10th Dec? I'm quite local and I can get a baby sitter so I'll be there with the missus. It would be good to put some faces to names.

    Cheers,

    Ade

Ah, but we know Mr Waite is a sucker for mono. Wink

Well done Ade too. I doubt I will be there, bit far from sleepy Durzet and I'm not sure I could cope with civilization. Wink

Well done all of you! Smile

Well done Ade, where would TAV be without a few excellent bridge shots?
I doubt if I'll make it to London, busy with a project in Aberdeen and likely be offshore most of December.

Kris, Mr. Waite is partial to a cetain hill in Scotland as well..... Wink

    JP

    Cheers guys.

So did anyone get more than 1 in the book?

    Ade

Yes, but should wait until its officially announced I guess.

Well done then John. I was chatting with someone else who had 7 shortlisted and only 1 commended so he's not that happy.

I'll check out the take-a-view site this week to see the their slide show.

    Cheers,

    Ade
