Telescope photography

1 Jun 2008 4:36PM
I've just bought a refractor telescope(1.25" EYEPIECE) at a car boot sale and would appreciate some help in telling me what all i would need to enable me to attach my D80 to it for some night sky images?

Thanks in advance

You will need a T ring from one of the telescope companies that will attach onto the camera and it will enable you to attach the camera into the telescope. You need to buy one for your type of camera. Visit http://www.uk-telescopes.co.uk/telescope_accessories.htm and look at the t-pieces. For long exposures you will need an RA drive to move the scope in line with the moving sky. HTH
